Being a Psychologist

Psychologists study cognitive, emotional, and social processes and behavior by observing, interpreting, and recording how individuals relate to one another and to their environments.

Elizabeth

FROM WHERE IT BEGAN

My entire life revolves around one goal:

In order to help others, I became a Licensed Clinical Psychologist receiving my master’s degree and doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley California, an institution with founding values of social responsibility and lifelong learning. I completed my doctoral training at U.C. Davis Medical Center in rehabilitation neuropsychology. For over fifteen years I worked to combine my interest in neuroscience and my passion for recovery and wellness. I have worked in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, community mental health agencies and private practice.
My specific clinical interests include early trauma and dissociative disorders/ personality disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, gender identity issues, self injury, and disordered eating. I use an analytic lens and evidence based treatment interventions such as cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness based stress reduction. I have extensive experience in psychological testing and neuropsychological testing.

“I can help you overcome
fears and obstacles in your life.”
